    2014 Maserati Quattroporte revealed

    From Worldcarfans.com
The sixth generation of the Maserati Quattroporte has been revealed and will make its public debut in January at the 2013 Detroit Motor Show.

The new model will be longer and lighter compared to the outgoing version. It has an estimated length of 5200mm (up by 148mm) and could be based on a new steel monocoque chassis. A significant part of the increase might be in the wheelbase, meaning more legroom for the rear passengers.

It is expected to have a curb weight of 1940 kg (down by 50 kg) thanks to the use of more aluminum, even though the car will be larger. A novelty for the 2014 Quattroporte will be the all-wheel drive option, but this will be available a year after the RWD model is launched.

    Rest on the link above

Me likely. I know it won't be confused with a Buick anymore.

If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of freemen, we must live through all time, or die by suicide."

The Quattroporte has been one of my favorite luxury sedans for quite a while. If I ever get around to purchasing such a vehicle I will certainly be looking for a nice, used Quattroporte.
Research is what I am doing when I don't know what I am doing.

Very beautiful. I'd still get a Panamera or XJ over it though.

Okay I'll be the black sheep: I don't care for it. It's not ugly, but somehow seems to not be an aesthetic improvement over the current one. But that interior is gorgeous. Maybe IRL I'll like it.

I'm with you, but I'll go further and say I'm disappointed in the interior. It's fine and understated, but when you buy anything Italian you expect it to be tailored and fitted to you, be it shoes or a suit; or a car. The dash is too flat. Look at where it meets the door. It should immerse you in the car and wrap around you a little more.

Not the step forward I was hoping for to put one in my garage. And in any case, I would have to see how the transmission is improved or not.
