Re: 2010 Merc S Class Facelift

What's the deal with the front ends of Mercedeses getting pointy? Doesn't go with the rest of the design at all, and looks terrible (particularly on the current E class).

I like it. Plus I hope the next-gen one looks much like that very radical S-class looking concept they unveiled maybe a year ago......belt line line swooped down to the rear view mirror, very aggressive front, highly sculpted rear end...risky and avant garde yet classy.

Re: 2010 Merc S Class Facelift

For by now most of you know I have a soft spot for the S Class Sedan and SL Roadster, this has been a long going thing since the S Class was introduced in 1971 as the 380SE 6 cylinder, then the 450SE V8. Even though I have yet to purchase one (almost did earlier in the year), it remains my favorite, for it's World Class execution, station and cache. Again I believe that in a world of vehicles there certainly are more expensive, some more high styled, but none more worthy of the overall automotive Standard of the World, than the Mercedes Benz S-Class!

BTW, when the 2010 model is introduced don't be surprised to find it outfitted with some interesting new technology. MB doesn't talk about it, they release it on the unsuspecting world, with a vengence. This is unfortunately why poor Cadillac, must endure so many references to its illustrious past, because it forget the path that leads to automotive greatness.

MB will own Cadillac and others will turn up their noses at our 'Std. of the World' long after I'm 6 feet under.....unless of course R.I.R has an epiphany of some kind...

Nevertheless, great looking car just the same.
