For NASCAR to become relevant, they need to remove all technology restrictions and let manufacturers make the car they are capable off. American racing is generally hampered by technology and budget restrictions..
I stopped watching NASCAR when they let Toyota in and run the FWD Camry that allowed Ford to run the Fusion.
How do RWD, V8 Powered Race Cars translate into FWD, I-4 powered Family Cars.
Give GM credit, at least they run the SS that is RWD and V8 powered, even if the SS they try to sell is priced out of "Chevrolet Buyers" range, should have at least offered a base V8 model.
I would start watching NASCAR again if is was back to Chevrolet, Dodge and Ford with the Camaro, Challenger and Mustang.
