Don't forget to save them to your desktop or pic files for future use!
I have like 900 pictures of Nascar from the past 3 years, but I had to delete the file to make space on the computer. But thanks!

Re: The official "NASCAR 2009" thread

Way things are going I'm wondering if they will have 43 cars to even race this year. The economy and sponsorship thing is really hurting even the top dog teams. Could get interesting. Like to see Stewart do well as the undercover fifth car of Hendricks team.

Many teams are losing their sponsorships.

I thought I read somewhere that this was a POSSIBLE idea for Nationwide series in a few years, Mustangs, Challengers and Camaros.

I am likely wrong...

No, you're not wrong. It was said that they would use those "pony" cars for the N'wide COT. However, the program has been put on hold due to the financial strains teams are currently in. Was supposed to be phased in this year, then full-time in 2010, I believe.

Be the same car with different headlight decals and name badges. The COT doesn't look like any car in the showroom anyway. Sure would be nice to see pony cars actually racing with production engines though. Ford would be at a huge disadvantage since they don't have an engine compared to the hemi and LS series (that I know of). And Toyota doesn't have anything in the class.

Actually, the COT for N'wide is much different than the Cup series as far as looks. There are some pics and the Challenger looks great as a race car!

I didn't know that, could get interesting. Build some interest in that series.

Re: The official "NASCAR 2009" thread

Anyone know the TV network that is covering the Shootout and the 500 races at Daytona? Haven't found a schedule with this listed as yet.

I think that is their intent to kind of give the N'wide Series more of a separate identity from the Cup side. I hope it works out.

Go Team Chevy!

Beyond that I don't have anything constructive to say.

Ford has their Mod V8's and Toyota has their iForce V8's. Granted, NASCAR would have to allow OHC engines, but I still think the LS series engines would kick butt just like they do in ALMS.

I hope, because I don't want the Busch-whackers who race Cup and N'wide to have an even bigger advantage by using the same cars too. I think it is already unfair that NASCAR allows them to do double duty.
