The official "NASCAR 2009" thread
Tundras and Yoters and Camrys OH NO!
Will Kyle Busch find a personality? Will Joe Gibbs replace the Tony with someone even better? Will the global juggernaut of Yoter make mincemeat of the Big point 5 in 2009? The answers lie below! Start your engines!! |

Re: The official "NASCAR 2009" thread
Am I the first post? If yes, yahoo! It sucks now that NASCAR has banned testing, they're probably going to have a lot of tire problem this year.

Re: The official "NASCAR 2009" thread
Are we going to try to beat last years page #'s? If so, we need 165 pages as of right now, because that's how many the 2008 thread has.

Re: The official "NASCAR 2009" thread
I thought that part of the bailout money conditions was that GMInsideNews couldn't have a 2009 Nascar thread???? I hope Pelosi doesn't find out....

Re: The official "NASCAR 2009" thread
Every year, I watch nascar less and less. The 'Chase' format is terrible. nascar has jumped the shark, big time.
My Chase format Top 10 drivers over the last 10 races. Lowest position driver each week is eliminated. How cool would that be? You could finish in the top 10 and still get eliminated. Talk about some racing!

Re: The official "NASCAR 2009" thread
I, too, am looking forward to the new season. Hopefully the testing ban will bring teams closer as the big-money teams can only go to non-sanctioned tracks, and you can relate all information to a "scheduled" track. Personally, I think ALL testing of any type should be banned regardless of track. Give them an extra day at the track, or more practice time, whatever. It will help the smaller teams, especially.
I'm still wondering about the Earnhardt-Ganassi deal and how it will play out. Obviously, the engines from ECR are some of the best if not the best, now if the Ganassi folks can get the chassis on the car figured out, they could be strong...or at least regularly competitive. I hope RCR kicks butt, and that Casey Mears can find his way quickly and have success. I see Roush to be dominate as ever and Hendrick to have a year very similar to this past season with their drivers.

3 racers for 300 laps? boring. if you keep the top 10 in for those 10 weeks and only have those 10 race i agree. i hate the fact that all 40 racers are racing during the chase. makes no sense- you dont see all 32 mlb teams in the playoffs.
