I too am pretty excited about the Daytona 24 hour race. I have watched the past 3 years, and evey year I watch more and more of it. A true endurance race. LOL...Ya. But the original NASCAR Sucks was pretty cool for going that long; and it was only a couple of months back that an Upgrade caused the page numbers not to wrap.

Rolex is one of my favourites too, because it means that Daytona isn't far off. That and seeing "PONTIAC" on a bunch of windshields. <sniff>

We are one trading bloc, one people, one way of life. But if ever there is a
politcal union, the naysayers will have nothing to fear, because the
325 million of you FAR outweigh the 32 million of us.
The US dollar will always be the currency of this trading bloc, and why would it not be?

Thanks, SD. Not sure what you meant about a "song", that was basically just a case of verbal diarrhea. I get pissy at people here sometimes.

As far as right now, he's not racing. I have been checking his site and the race site, and he nor the race has said anything about it or have him listed, and I'm sure it will stay the same with the race being so close. Maybe next year. A few years back when he was with Andy Wallace, they finished second, and came from about 20 mintues back to finish about 5 seconds back at the end of 24 hours.

I could live with that.

It should be a great one, if all this anticipation we're all feeling is any indication.

To name a few things so far this past year:

1) Toyota having a legitimate shot at winning;
2) Junior in his new garage with his new team;
3) Joe Gibbs Racing making the big switch;
4) Sponsor issues, AT&T vs. Sprint;
5) Two Series name changes, Sprint Cup and Nationwide.

So how bad do I want the NASCAR season to start up? Well I went to put in "Cars" the Disney movie for my daughter, and thought to myself, hey it has racing in it, I'll sit and watch it. I ended up watching the whole thing while she got up off the couch and started playing with other toys about 20 minutes into it. Hey, I had to get my fix in, even if it was just anamation.

man u aint kidding!!! my house has more "Cars" collectables than anything. My 5 yr old cant get enough.

Favorite part of the movie was the last race, when he was pitchin it sideways in the grass and saved it. Found myself clutching my fist!!!

Mariner, I was thinking after watching for most of the weekend starting Thursday of the Barrett-Jackson Auction on SPEED, and they showed Tony talking several times with Richard Childress and that just made me think, what better then to think they could be talking about Tony taking over for say Jeff Burton in a year or two, or maybe filling the seat of that 4th RCR car that he has had trouble finding sponsorship for. Tony would be able to bring a decent sized sponsor for that forth car too. Just thought I throw out that pondering thought of mine from the weekend.
