Tony and Jr. battling for the lead! And Tony is in front when the caution waves.

Thanks ESPN. Once again Canadian NASCAR fans are left out.

ABC and TSN were to carry it last night but no one picked it up today. Instead we had Golf and Football.

Re: The Official "NASCAR 2008" thread

WTF? I thought this race was going to be a night race tonight? From what I heard, Nationwide was running at 1pm and Sprint was going at 7. I caught the last half of the race, but I missed Jr spinning Shrub! Bullcrap!

Congrats to Hendrick, Roush, Childress, and Gibbs for owning the Chase.

Re: The Official "NASCAR 2008" thread

No Dodge's in da chase!

And no Dodge help in the 09 truck series http://sports.espn.go.com/rpm/nascar...ory?id=3573077

Does that make sence with the "New Dodge Ram" coming out in 09?

^ That's what you get when the company that sponsors you gives you crappy engines to work with!

Re: The Official "NASCAR 2008" thread

Wow! It's not good when a major auto manufacturing company wont even support itself in a racing series....
Granted It's Dodge but it's not good for NASCAR.

Quite the finish on the race today. Jimmie makes it two in a row and a Chevy wins the Chevy Rock N Roll 400!!

Re: The Official "NASCAR 2008" thread

Vintage Tony Stewart in a post-race interview today. MRN radio guy was asking him to describe something in the race, Stewart snidely says "Didn't you watch the race? You were here all day weren't you? Did you even watch the race?" Well, I was at work listening on the radio like a couple million other people, truck drivers, travelers, workers, etc., and no we didn't see the race Mr. Stewart. Well, at least we'll be seeing him back in 30th place all next year - when we do get a chance to watch the race occasionally.

LOL! Yeah, Tony was pretty hot. He blamed his pit crew for a slow pit, but there was nothing wrong with it. I guess Jimmie was just a tad bit quicker because the 48 beat him off pit road.

IMO, Tony was the guy that needed to beat Jimmie. He had the opportunity to fight for the lead- he just wasn't strong enough to get around the 48.

But he was acting like an ass afterwards.....

Re: The Official "NASCAR 2008" thread

Race was good. Hoping Stewart would get by the 48, but he burnt his tires up and then it was over. Burton looks good going into the Chase. He seems to have regained that consistency he had at the beginning of the year.

Oh yeah, it was HOT as blazes. Boy, am I glad they are usually run at night!

Re: The Official "NASCAR 2008" thread

What has this thread come to; it's the first race of the Chase and Shruby can't keep the car on the lead lap and ends up spinning it out and will clearly out of the lead when they leave Loudon. Looks like everyone's wish of him falling off once the Chase starts is coming true.

I agree Duramax! I wonder if if Shrub is listening to this in his earpiece as he fumbles around the track:

Appreciate that, Hammer, just got back from the football game last night (it's played on another continent, more or less), and I was out of the car when SIRIUS NASCAR Channel 128 was talking about it, obviously.

C'mon Shrub, we don't care about you, but there are a lot of 83 year old Camry owners out there counting on you.

Re: The Official "NASCAR 2008" thread

Any guesses on who will be crowned NASCAR champion this year?

My guess is "Smoke", he needs it for his "New team" and , He is way more a driver than "Shrub",

I think he is holding back,
