Killing prairie vermin is a sacred trust, and you will one day be knighted for what you are about to do. That is, if you ever get rid of that President dude, and see things our way.

In the meantime, Wheatie hunting is good sport and very nutritious.

No need to call anyone. Just get you some D-Con and place a bag in the crawl space and one in the attic. They work well. I can relate b/c last fall after the corn and peanuts were harvested, the mice were everywhere it seemed. A good bb/pellet gun, traps, and D-con will do the trick. A lot cheaper than an exterminator, too...

BTW, what the hell is a mouse exterminator? I've heard of Terminix, but nothing for rodents...LOL!!!

I have all those tools at my disposal. Last time Terminex was here, they put some bait stations in the crawl space. I have a ton of those sticky glue traps to catch them too. When they get on the traps, I take them outside and let them meet their maker with the pellet gun.

Terminex takes care of all pests. They can't do much more than give me bait stations and glue traps, but that's all I need.

Ah, okay. I gotcha. They bait 'em, you execute 'em. Good idea. I always just thought of Termanix as just for bugs. My bad.

Interesting "Fact or Fiction" article on NASCAR.com

http://www.nascar.com/2008/news/opin...ill/index.html

Looks like the Tony rumour is closer to fact than we thought. And Mears to RCR's 4th car? I could get around that idea!

Especially with talk going around that Logano will be racing full time in Cup next season. Sure, JGR could be starting a 4th team for him, but why rush it if thats the case?

Why? You think he'll do anything spectacular over there? I don't.

Well, he may not do anything spectacular at RCR, but he'll likely get more of a fighting chance with Burton, Harvick and Bowyer than he currently has in the shadow of Jr., Gordon and Johnson.

Re: The Official "NASCAR 2008" thread

Its looking better and better every day for Stewart to be driving a Chevy again next year:

http://sports.espn.go.com/rpm/nascar/cup/news/story?id=3460729

Quote:
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Tony Stewart is shopping for car sponsorships in anticipation of a potential partnership with Haas CNC Racing, multiple sources told ESPN.com.

Although Stewart has a year left on his contract at Joe Gibbs Racing and JGR officials insist he hasn't asked for a release, the two-time Sprint Cup champion appears prepared to share ownership of Haas Racing's two-car team in 2009.

One source close to the situation said there have been discussions with Ryan Newman as the second driver. Newman has said he will not return to Penske Racing if the performance of that team doesn't improve quickly.

Newman's name definitely would help draw sponsorship to Haas.

"He's talking to every major sponsor that is available out there for this Haas deal," one source said of Stewart and his representatives. "I don't know if it's done, but it sounds like it's very close."
Quote:
JGR president J.D. Gibbs insisted Stewart had not closed the door on signing a long-term deal with the company that brought him to Cup racing in 1999 and helped him win titles in 2002 and 2005.

But there is widespread speculation that the reason JGR has rushed Joey Logano into the Nationwide Series is to prepare him to take Stewart's place should Stewart leave.

Re: The Official "NASCAR 2008" thread

Hey guys, sorry for not being around for a while. Been just a little busy. Been able to check in and read up on everything but haven't posted. So I figured I would catch up on everything.

1. Congrats to Jr. at Michigan on the win. Good to see him win and on all days, Father's day. This is the 4th Father's day for me with out my Dad and being able to win on a day like that, has got to be special. I'm not and was not all that concerned with him passing the pace car, being that he was just crusing with the car off saving fuel. That rule is for cars coming out off pit road and passing the pace car to get their lap back. What was kinda odd was how quick the caution flag was thrown for the crash on the front strech. I am sure I will get beaten down for saying this, but being the last lap and cars well into the infield, I would think that they would let the race finish or at least wait to see if the cars were going to stay in the infield or if they went back up to the track. To me, it just seemed like a very quick yellow flag. But a win is a win. And congrats.

2. Hearing more and more about Tony getting back in a Bowtie, is just making me happier and happier. I have thought about this for a while this year, and have come to his conclusion. I would rather Tony be in a Chevy and win one race then to be in a Toyota and win multiple championships. And now that form the sound of it, he is looking for sponsorship for Haas CNC teams. If he teams up with Ryan Neuman, I wouldn't be too upset with that. The one thing that would kinda worry me would be him having ownership in his own team. I know he would be part owner, but I hope that it doesn't interfere with his racing. I would like for him to wait til he was done racing Cup before he took up ownership, but if he thinks he could do it, then more power too him. Though, if he ends up back with JGR, then I am stating right here, right now that I will be switching alliances. I have backed Tony for over a decade, but if he goes back to Toyota, then I will be forced to be finding a new Chevy driver to root for.

I was hoping Home Depot would go where ever Stewart went.

I was kinda hoping too. I thought IIRC the last contract signed by Tony and Home Depot to JGR, made Tony, HD, and Zippy all tied together. If Tony or Home Depot left, the other could go along with Zippy. What I have been hearing is that if/when Tony leaves, Zippy is thinking hard about staying with Gibbs because of job security (being there over 10 years and having a third kid on the way later this year) he has there instead of going to a new team. But I wouldn't doubt that Tony would try to make him a sweet offer to come with him.

As for sponsors, the ESPN article is sayin Old Spice and Office Depot being the two companies that are possibly talking to Tony and Haas. Office Depot would be my favorite company to sponsor him, but if they are willing to pony up the money for him and the team, then they might be on the car come Daytona. They are saying Office Depot as the Primary and Old Spice a secondary sponsor with a few races as the primary. From Home Depot's point of view, they are somewhat struggling this year due to the slow building sector and therefore have sold off a few races this year to Subway on the #20 car. Tony is getting reportedly around $20 million a year from Home Depot/Gibbs and from what is being said, Logano is a little cheeper for them per year then Tony is, and they could get back to beening the primary sponsor for the full season. I'm sure Tony won't get Jr. money when he makes the move, but I wouldn't doubt he would be a close second.
