Re: The Official "NASCAR 2008" thread

Penalties for the Gibbs Nwide teams should be coming out tomorrow. NASCAR said there will be some pretty big penalties for the two teams. I think that lead in the owners points will be much, much smaller after tomorrow.

I was actually referring to the $$$ that Toyota paid to get into Nationwide and Sprint in the first place, Hammer.

Great rant, though.

Re: The Official "NASCAR 2008" thread

Anybody going to be on here tonight for Bristol. Smoke, JJ, and Jr. start way back in the pack. Will be interesting to see how they make their way up to the front. Good to see Kevin starting in the top 10 too.

Re: The Official "NASCAR 2008" thread

I don't know. I didn't get to watch or follow qualifying. Though it is the norm for Tony this year starting that far back in the pack.

I don't know if any of you guys heard Tony on his Sirius radio show on Monday night, but Kevin and Delana were on it and Delana said she had skiped Pocono and Watkins Glen, two places she doesn't like watching races at, and since Kevin ran 4th and 6th in the two races, he made her stay home when they went to Michigan, and he finished 8th. So he told Tony on Monday night that she would be at Bristol for the truck race on Wednesday and the Nwide race Friday night, but he would make her go home for Saturdays race. Tony then offered for her to hang out with him Friday night and Saturday with him. It was pretty funny.

I like his car tonight too. Very sharp. I'm thinking of switching to Penzoil too.

To be serious, I actually am quite pleased with the performance of Penzoil over these past two oil changes. It actually seems to run cooler than it did for one, (and the last time was on CTC oil, in February under much cooler air temps) and (maybe I'm imagining this) seems to come out cleaner. For the record, the oil filter has been a Fram for the past two changes.

I have been using Mobil 1 oil for a long time. Used Mobil 1 filters for a while but have switched to AC Delco filters for the last couple years. Now the Dmax runs on Rotella T syn.
