Jeff Gordon fails postrace inspection

Apparently Jeff got caught cheating too. According to Fox News, Jeff Gordon's car failed postrace inspection because it was an inch too low. He will now be starting in 42nd for the 500.

Yep, every manufacturer cheats, but Toyota is at the very top.

Actually the scoreboard reads:

Dodge-3
Ford-1
Chevy-1
Toyota-1

Seems like Dodge has the lead in the "irregularity" department so far in Daytona. Wonder what will arise after the race...

They all cheat and I don't have a problem with it. There is too much money involved with sports at that level. Its just like steroids in baseball and football.

Cheat, but don't get caught.

Yes, but Toyota's cheating was the worst Nascar has seen in years, so that puts them right at the top.

Toyota itself didn't cheat. It was the act of an individual or individuals on a Toyota team. Being a Toyota had nothing to do with it other than give folks something else to complain about them being in the Cup series. In the days when Gordon/Evernham were together, they actually got in trouble, too. Once, they were even told not to bring a particular car back.

Manufacturer has nothing to do with it, regardless of which team.

Misalligned bolts do not equal cheating. Stealing software from Ferrari does.

Re: Jeff Gordon fails postrace inspection

Remember, it's only cheating if you get caught. Otherwise, it's just being competitive.

It's not Toyota or Chevy cheating. Hopefully everyone understands that the manufacturer's don't own these teams. They basically build engines.

But when they win, its Toyota or Chevy. You can't have it both ways.

ehh , From the latest article put out. Toyota actually has employees assigned to each team, they build and tune all the engines. Their teams arent supposed to mess with them before the races, Along with chassis work too.

I dunno how it works for the other manufacturers
