Re: Champ cars coming to Zhuhai China

I don't want to poo poo on your parade, but I'll only believe it when they actually show up.

I believe Champ Cars planned to race in South Korea during the last two seasons, but cancelled those events during the season. Champ is also trying to go back to Europe this year... It failed the first time, I don't know why they are trying again.

I'd love to see Champ car survive, and grow, but there are too many good drivers without rides, while poor (unproven) drivers have secured a driver seat because they brought $$. Very sad.

Champ is in a tough position. North America is not interested in a formula style road racing series and the rest of the world sees it as a lesser imitation of F1. Between Tony George of the IRL and Kevin Kalkhoven the men in charge of American open wheel racing seem to like trying to do everything but what has shown to actually work. They seem much more interested in which side was right back in '95 than pushing ahead with the future.
