Any Racers out there??

...Not cars, lawnmower or tractor racers?

I have raced for going on 23 years in our countys Pee Wee rider over mower Champion ship ages 12 and up League, and have usually placed fairly well. I race with my grandads Wheel Horse in the Heritage races. It can go from 0-45mph in like 28-30 seconds. Its just been wrecked a few times in its career and it 'dog walks' but nothing an experienced pilot can't over come. In the Daytona 501( cute huh? ) i e the current generation mowers, I race a Craftsman Pro 36 inch cut with a stiuck shift 7 speed and a turbo air cooled Bringgs N Stratton Cool Bore. That sucker maxed out at 61.0mph!!!! Thats when it blowed a tire and we crashed coming into turn 3 of lap 1. Ouch!! Currently in our first 17 week ends I am holding firm at 4th in the points standings with Leroy, Little Bill, and Murky placing over me. Not that you would know them or nothing. Its a big festival in our tiny town, theres beer, and women, and we usually have a pig pickin and all of that. We have currently 54 mowers but one is banned due to illegal substances, but he'll be back first of the year.

So any of you out there race anything besides cars, which I hope is legally done anyways. I tried racing boats before but the out board motor flew off and was screwed up bad!! It was bad enough, but it was als my buddys boat. I had to wash dishes at his diner for a year for that!! Ouch!! Needless to say I'm out of that.

Write up if you do. Let me hear about it. I love hearing from folks sharing my own personal hobbies.

Ed

Re: Any Racers out there??

I know this racer....

Has an engine off of a chinook helicopter, has a top speed of 94 mph, and can mow a football field in 11 seconds. All just to beat Bob Vila.
