It would sell.
Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't the Regal slotted below the LaCrosse? If so the LaCrosse fully loaded cost maybe $35k, so the Regal Limited should only cost maybe $30-$32k fully loaded.

The LaCrosse needs to move up market, too.

It is the Best car to pick up where the Lucerne and DTS left off.

Here's a good Buick line up.

28k 2.5 Hybrid @ 240hp AWD

Astra Compact (179")
24k 2.5 I4 @ 190hp FWD
32k 3.0 V6 @ 250hp FWD/AWD
40k 3.0 V6 Hybrid @ 300hp AWD

Regal Mid Size (190")
32k 3.0 V6 @ 250hp FWD
44k 3.5 V6 @ 310hp FWD/AWD
56k 3.5 V6 Hybrid @ 360hp AWD

Lacrosse Full Size (201")
44k 3.5 V6 @ 310hp FWD
60k 4.0 V8 @ 370hp (FWD/AWD)
76k 4.0 V8 Hybrid @ 420hp (AWD)

At those prices you will need to add a crazy amount of features and up the material quality. While I find such vehicles very appealing those are very high prices to ask for any Buick, currently.....

Has anyone seen the Fortune that the Regal concept is supposed to be in?

Didn't they just dump the Regal name? 2005? Replaced by LaCrotch?

Man, these are a bunch of mixed up kids running GM. I'm not sure a roomful of Harvard/Government lawyers will do much worse.

Re: GM Planning Buick Regal Concept?

Why would you need a Regal and Lacrosse in the US?

Hell yes, it should have everything you could want.

Gotta leave room for Chevy and the return of Poncho to slot in underneath.

I think thats a good idea, example the Astra was a nice vehicle but it failed because GM never gave us the unaltered European version. If the Astra is done as a Buick and GM doesn't de-content the vehicle it might actually sell well.

I don't know why GM can't bring this car here for the fall or in Jan. It would give GM two cars to compete with the TL and TS from Acura in addition to the Enclave. GM could then force out the Enclave.

UNECE cars are illegal for sale in the U.S. It takes time to redesign parts of the car for our FMVSS regulations.

Yep, and it also takes time to tool the factory and run pre-production series to iron out any deficiencies, and so on... and it costs money, at a time GM is not swimming in cash and is in the middle of a Ch11 process.
