The only Buick model out now or is known to be on its way to possibly have the distinction of being the brands flagship is the Enclave.

!!
Can the Enclave be considered a flagship vehicle? You know since it's a crossover.

I think GM will just turn Opels in Europe into Buicks...

Sure it can. Who ever said that a flagship vehicle has to be a car??

Answer: Nobody.

True, but I never heard of a crossover or suv that was considered a flagship of any brand. Of course thats with the exception of brands like Hummer and Land Rover, since they only sell suv's and crossovers.

Hmm... I would consider the Escalade to have been Cadillac's flagship over the last few years. It's the biggest and most well known model they have, and arguably does the best job of being a Cadillac (big, bold, powerful, obviously American, etc..).

Likewise, unless the Zeta Park Avenue or some other high-end sedan is released and becomes a hit, the Enclave is/will become Buick's flagship.

Absolutely, if the Lucerne was called the LeSabre sales would have been much better and if it was not too late the new LaCrosse should be called the LeSabre.

Not sure how GM will work the LeSabre name back into the Buick line but I know of at least a dozen LeSabre owners who either have not bought a new car or bought a competitor's just because Buick does not offer the LeSabre. Maybe they can offer a SWB Zeta LeSabre in place of the LWB Park Avenue and let Cadillac offer the Park Avenue as a DeVille or SLS (although I prefer the Park Ave to stay a Buick).

A Buick line of Skylark, Regal, LeSabre or Skylark, Century, Regal, LeSabre, Park Avenue would appeal to existing Buick owners with little impact on "conquest" buyers - but GM has not figured that out yet.

But since it is too late to change the LaCrosse name, I can see a strong market for a line of Skylark, Regal, LaCrosse, LeSabre and Park Avenue and hopefully that is what we will get.

Well what you said makes sense, but is it official? I always thought the XLR was Cadillac flagship even though it never sold well.

Here's another photo of the Buick Regal in China. What a beautiful car.

Please explain how the LaCrosse is not distinct enough to be a flagship. If you want to go platform-wise look at the enclave and it's three brothers. If you want to go feautre-wise, look at the competition and tell me it doesn't match or best them. Design-wise, the car looks fantastic. In and out, the car gets an A+.

Once again, please explain.

Toyota's flagship in the US was the Land Cruiser until it got upended by the Sequoia.

Re: GM Planning Buick Regal Concept?

Regal will likely be built in US, along with Malibu and LaCrosse. At least that is what I have been hearing.

Don't know if any of you have driven a LaCrosse yet, but my oh my....

Regal 3.0L V6 @ 250hp FWD Starting at 32,000

Regal Limited 3.5 V6 @ 310hp FWD/AWD Starting at 44,000

Regal Elektra 3.5 V6 Hybrid @ 360hp FWD/AWD Starting at 56,000

It would sell.
