I think they'll just drop the hyphen. Isn't LT1 an option code. I believe they hyphenate it to name the engine.

Re: Corvette ZR1

ZR1, Z06, Z51 and Z28 all performance cars.

Yes, the Camaro WILL BE a Z28. SS will be reserved for the Impala.

I'd like to see this bode well for 'SS' being left off the Camaro as well, but unfortunately I doubt it. Much rather have a Z28 and ZL1 Camaro than an SS...
i completely disagree. i'd rather have a camaro ss than any z-code.

There is an SRT viper, why not an SS Vette honestly. and it'd build equity in the SS name, sheesh!

I loved the 90's ZR-1... and it still looks amazing today. Ah, check out those lines... classic already.

Re: Corvette ZR1

I'm glad it's not Corvette SS. ZR1 is pretty cool. Although I really would have preferred Blue Devil. That sounds awesome.
Hmm, although, a modern take on the original Corvette SS would be really freakin' awesome, kind of how Ford revived the GT moniker and styling.

No way. I would love an IROC-Z on my Camaro. That looks totally bad ass. There could also be and SS camaro, but IROC is by far the better name.

ZR1s are cool. I wish the Corvette would go back to the smaller back end like 4th gens had.

Corvette SS was a 1000X better name. zr1 sounds like zee ripped a fart at 1pm.

a Corvette SS sounds as good as Michigan's performance in the game against Appalachian State

Re: Corvette ZR1

At least this is one rumor we can put to rest. That is until GM changes things at the last minute.

Re: Corvette ZR1

Ahhh man, thats awesome. ZR1 is a perfect name, and lets us know that the SS Camaro will not be the top of the line.
Maybe Cobalt will get a Z name when the turbo shows up.
