Re: Corvette ZR1

Wow..the CTS-V WILL get the 6.2 blown SBC....drool..

By the way..I'm VERY happy about the ZR1 name. Much better than SS or Z07..although Blue Devil would have been cool..

Re: Corvette ZR1

Though cool, I still doubt the validity of that article. GM loves to name cars by their RPO code, and ZR-1 dosent fit with the hyphen. But it wouldnt bother me if they did use it, though I would rathar see ZL-1. Mabey they will use the ZR1 RPO and drop the hyphen? Mabey the "King of the Road" will live again!

Re: Corvette ZR1

This is a good move, although a new option code would have been good as well.

Re: Corvette ZR1

So should have been Corvette SS.

embarrassing, when i end up owning one in like 20 years *( a new one, not some used one) I'll take the SS badges off an an SS car and put it on this one.

Corvette SS was a 1000X better name. zr1 sounds like zee ripped a fart at 1pm.

Re: Corvette ZR1

I don't like letters and numbers that don't mean anything, like ZR-1. OOO its an option code. I want a name. Blue Devil, Super Sport were both better. Its ok I wont be buying a new one anyway.

You're kidding right? SS should never touch the Corvette.

I'd like to see this bode well for 'SS' being left off the Camaro as well, but unfortunately I doubt it. Much rather have a Z28 and ZL1 Camaro than an SS...
