Are you thinking of a Holocaust payback in the form of torching everything baring the superior German engineering that has rendered the 'merican iron to be, well, obsolete? Wake up and smell the ashes. I was once an ignorant fanboy, read some of my posts from three years ago...take the time and drive (and I mean really drive, don't just look) at everything that is out there..you will see that GM is about three generations from offering a Chevrolet interior that touches what Volkswagen offers. So to suggest the Camaro receiving a Audi-like interior is so ambitious that I want to nominate GM for the special olympics!
Since when is Chevrolet looking to compete with Audi???

Re: Chevrolet Camaro Executive Express Edition in the Works?

Lots of stuff going on here.

Camaro's suspension needs to tighten up. Understeer and steering feel can be fixed with some suspension retuning, but one thing the Mustang cannot retune is a more compliant ride over rough surface. Its a problem with all live axle cars.
If they tune for softer ride, they lose the performance side.
Ford will get a boost in power next year, so it will start to chase Camaro into the performance fight, but Camaro's suspension and chassis can be dialed in higher and better then Fords.
The con with Camaro is weight.
The con with Mustang is its chassis limitations.

As for this executive edition, it sounds great. But with a pretty drab interior design, where exactly do you place all this "Audi esque" interior parts? Aluminum around the guages? Around teh doors? Leather dash?
A Camaro LTZ does sound good. Standard RS package, navigation, 2LT featuers standard, leather dash, aluminum accents, etc etc...offer it with V6 or V8 though?
Do you offer it as a trim option?

Hello. I've been following this site for a while and now I also subscribed (I am a fan of American cars and US).

I really don't understand what's the big deal about Audi interior? It's OK but nothing more. I've had my current Audi for a year and driven now 50 tkm. Electric brake assistant button died once, there's annoying rattling noise coming somewhere from dashboard etc.

My wife is driving a Chrysler Sebring and only big difference is that Audi is more quiet at highway.

There's not so many American cars available at European market. Year ago when I was buying a new car, I'd preferred Chrysler 300C but pricing against European rivals is not competitive. I had a couple of years ago BMW 325i Coupe and I swear it was my last BMW ever. Sound of engine was nice and drifting on ice and snow was also fun but car was at workshop too often.
