What is actually known about the Ram brand?

Is there any solid info as to what the Ram brand actually will be like?

Is it literally going to be a separate brand with its own dealerships and website? The trucks will be called "Ram Ram" or something?

Does it cost a lot more?

It seems like an exceptionally stupid idea.

Re: What is actually known about the Ram brand?

The idea is to smoothly integrate rebadged Fiat small cars into Dodge. You can't do that with the huge crosshair Ram-like grille, at least Fiatsler thinks so.

Dealerships remain the same, Fiatsler will have integrated dealerships for all brands. It seems that you'll have "Ram 1500", "Ram Heavy Duty" and a "Ram Van" (Iveco Daily) sometime later.

I concur.

There is not any logical/practical/common sense reason to create a separate brand of Dodge trucks & renaming it Ram.
One could say this is the 1st mistake Fiatsler has made w/many more to come.

Such as a Jeep version of the Fiat Panda. This model will harm the image & rep of Jeep alot more than the Compass/Patriot did.

I suggest to Fiatsler to keep the Panda out of Chrysler/Dodge?Jeep altogether!
If they wanna sell the Panda here, fine, sell it as the Fiat Panda & be done w/it.

How about the fact that all Jeeps will be car-based except for the Wrangler?

It seems it will be more of a Punto/Idea-based "mini Patriot" not the Panda - Fiat hopes to sell enough 500s in the Americas to keep the line going.

This is or will be a bad idea.
Does no one at Chrysler/Fiat understand what made Jeep so popular/trusted/liked??
