$45K
4.7 sec 0-60 13.4 sec 1/4 mile $139K 5 sec 0-60 13.2 sec 1/4 mile That about sums it up for me, chalk up a win for the Grand Cherokee SRT8 and the extra $94K you save.

Re: Track Tested: 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 vs. 2009 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S
I am actually a huge fan of sporty, and super fast SUVs....ever since I saw a GMC Typhoon as a kid.
The problem with the JGC is the fact the stupid exhaust pipes are right where the ball hitch mount should be. And then of course it doesn't look near as nice as the Porsche. Having said that, $94k is a lot of loot saved. |

You're not a fan of the exhaust on the SRT8?!?! I think its one of the coolest features, granted it does limit its functionality but I wouldn't tow anything with a SRT8 anyways.

As much as the exhaust looks cool on the JGC, its not a very practical place. I kinda wiush that the exhaust is mounted normally so that you can tow stuff.
As for the $94K saved I wonder what you can buy with that? A whole suburb in Detroit? |

I agree, the Rear on the porsche does look better, but why show the rears only right?
The front of a vehicle is usually the most dramatic. This looks good. ![]() This looks Really Good! ![]() Jeep in a heartbeat.

i know right? i mean theres not a single car that when compared to a porsche looks nicer, and this is the cayenne no less one of the ugliest to exist followed by the boxster.

![]() That's a win. Or....... lets see..... want to effectively triple mpg - such the rage these days so..... the SRT8, the s/c as per, and then a VOLT. Put the rest towards an engine overhaul on the Bonanza and then - you can go faster more often - on less fuel.
