Re: Plymouth Appreciation Thread

I kind of liked the early 90's Acclaim. I liked the exterior design and it was a really comfortable car. Back in 2001 I used to car pool with a girl to university who drove a 91 Acclaim. I think her's was a turbo cylinder and I remember her saying it was very reliable. I remember it had very comfortable seats and a very comfortable ride.

I remember lusting over the Prowler when it was released. Of course I was around 15 years old at the time and those types of vehicles really appeal to boys that age.

My first car was a 1957 Belvedere, push button transmission.....great reliable car, used it to leave home when I was 18 and drove from Tampa to Albuquerque.

Re: Plymouth Appreciation Thread

We had a 1998 Grand Voyager Expresso. Also the twin to the Plymouth Horizon, a Dodge Omni.

I dig all the different trim packages Chrysler offered particularly in the 1990s, like the top-spec LX trims in the early '90s. Rallye, Expresso, etc.

(IIRC the only thing the Expresso expressed was badging, different wheel covers, pinstriping, and at least on the Voyager an upgraded standard stereo.)
