first shots of production spec dodge power wagon revealed

Pickuptrucks.com (via an off road magazine) have accquired the first shots of a production spec 2010 dodge ram powerwagon. One big change is that instead of the chrome lettering that was seen on prototype versions it has now been replaced with Vinyl graphics (hopefully the chrome letters will still be offered as an alternate choice) more at the link

Good-looking rig. Hope it helps Chrysler out.

The Ram is one classy looking truck, and Power Wagons are cool...but those stickers look cheesy to me. Especially the giant one on the tailgate.

Looks like someone had a field day with stickers on a decent truck. Only thing missing is the Mexican flag graphic on the back window.

I was really hoping to see something radical. But it came out as another attempt at refreshing a dated platform. Chrysler is already in the rears in regard to not keeping up with technology. The PowerWagon is something that I remember as being "cool" in the '70's. So the badge is back. Not enough. Unfortunately, I don't think that this will create a whirlwind of interest in their truck segment.

Ugh what is with the decals?! and those roof-mounted running lights look straight out of a JCWhitney catalog. I mean really, this looks like a PepBoys edition Ram. Lose the graphics, substitute one of the ten badges on the door for a "Power Wagon" badge, and ditch the JDM clear running lights. I can't believe this is really production. It can't possibly be, is it??

uh, what? 4.56 gears, front and rear electronically locking lockers, 33" tires, an electronically disconnecting sway bar, sfa, a integrated warn winch, how is that not cool and not keeping up with technology? its the most off roadable stock pickup out there. the raptor doesnt even have that kind of stuff. if it didnt only come in a crew cab short bed i would actually consider trading my truck for it (although it would be tough to trade in for a dodge). i WISH gm would do something like this. this is what the z71 should be.

Ford is testing a supercrew model of the raptor (spy shots of it were shot recently) and in addition I did see one power wagon tester two weeks ago with a longer bed I just wish the dodge boys didn't go overkill with the decals. They just look garish and help ruin an otherwise decent looking truck

agreed. the decals are kinda tacky. the longer bed is probably a standard 6' 6" bed though- im talkin 8 foot.
