Fiat Strada extended cab

Fiat offer a stretched cab version of their Strada pick-up for the Brazilian market, some good pictures of it on this French site

Re: Fiat Strada extended cab

It needed to be stretched as well. With the tiny bed, I don't see much purpose in this variant. Could have also used a pair of suicide doors rear.

Re: Fiat Strada extended cab

Ugh, why can't we get a vehicle like this over here?

Nobody makes a little truck here. This is all I want or need. As long as I can put a motorcycle in the back or haul a little topsoil and whatnot. I don't want an SUV ( even though I have one ) and I want something that gets better than 16 mpg. A ford ranger is the closest thing and it still isn't that close.

Chevy makes one, VW makes one, Fiat makes one.

Maybe Chrysler will bring this over?

I taught of the same idea, I beginned to imagine it as a possible new Dodge Rampage or Ram 50

Re: Fiat Strada extended cab

I was thinking it should come to the USA as the "Dodge Ram 0.5"

It would be an excellent base for a small pickup. And, throw in a good Diesel Engine, and it should get close to 50 MPG. Nothing would be close to it other than early 80's VW Caddies.

The plastic fenders would be great in the states that salt the roads. But, the body style will age quickly.

I do agree that they need a long bed option for all cab styles. A 6' or 7' bed is sufficient. However, a 3' bed is ridiculous.

I agree. The one change I would make though is an optional all wheel drive system.

So just buy an life a Subaru Baja. I was going to say this looked like a new Brat as well, then I read your comment silly...

I would have bought a Baja if it was just a little taller and had more ground clearance. Now I have a RAM...oh well I love my RAM.

Re: Fiat Strada extended cab

A) I don't want to buy one myself.
B) The Baja wasn't been made for some time.

Us silly people not in the land of palm trees might like it for things called weather and unpaved roads.

Re: Fiat Strada extended cab

The Subaru Baja isn't a pickup...

A pickup bed has to be made to haul more than 1 cooler of beer.

And the Baja only gets about half the fuel mileage as my current pickup.

Well that is why I didn't look at a Baja harder they are too low.
