Wow! Bob Lutz's Charger is still alive inside the halls of Dodge!!
Lutz should get a check...
That would make the car an amazing vehicle to buy. Congrats Dodge.

Are they going to call it a hybrid like GM?

2012 will have a split window C7 and a Ferrari Dodge...interesting...a sports car from Toyota, are we sure this is a recession?

Yeah it's supposed to be. However, I read a couple months ago that Fiat didn't like some things about the upcoming 300 and is going to make considerable changes to it. I don't know if they are interior related or not but the interior could change.

From what I understood, they were both Interior and Exterior related changes.

The actual news AREN'T Dakota and Viper's deaths, those were sure as taxes. The news is that the DODGE CARAVAN LIVES ON UNTIL 2014 (until further notice ).

Re: The Chrysler 5-year plan thread (Viper, Dakota DEAD)

Dodge Durango based on GC architecture joins in 2010, a pickup "Ridgedakota" in 2011.

Large RAM van is probably the RWD Iveco Daily, small = Fiat Ducato (already imported to Mexico). Both 2012.

Re: The Chrysler 5-year plan thread (Viper, Dakota DEAD)

Jeep: http://www.chryslergroupllc.com/pdf/business/jeep.pdf

The plan hints at returning to roots - less models, stronger message, leadership in SUV segment. +300K sales internationally to boost volume to 800K in 2014.

Ad agency came up with new stupid slogan: i live. i ride. i am. Jeep. [only "Jeep" written with a capital letter]

Pronounced move to "car based"/CUV except for the Wrangler line which remains "Trail Rated" (and retains its own platform).

Wrangler line to be "expanded", two redesigns in 2010 and 2011

Commander line to be "internationally reallocated" (to Beijign-Jeep?)

In 2013 all Jeeps but the GC and Wrangler move to Fiat's car platforms
:

1. "Jeep Panda" or "Jeep Punto"
2. Combined Patriot and Compass replacement (compact platform)
3. Liberty replacement (midsize platform)

(World Class) Manufacturing with Scott Garberding: http://www.chryslergroupllc.com/pdf/...ufacturing.pdf

This is the most polished presentation so far because it's a facelifted old Fiat's PPT on that from 2005.

It still contains GLARING and rather hillarious mistakes [wrong stuff marked as "right"]
