Lightbulb Charger Concept for 2010

Just found a video of a Charger Concept for 2010. I think they had a story about it in mopar enthusiast magazine months ago.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJZFoQLtXpk

I dig it!

The side is kind of awful, but the front and back are sweet!!

Re: Charger Concept for 2010

Why would the Charger concept be only 2-doors?

Re: Charger Concept for 2010

Much too chunky and blocky for my taste, with the front end the worst.

It looks like something I might've drawn up when I was nine.

So how would it be different from the Challenger?

Re: Charger Concept for 2010

well as everyone knows the charger should have NEVER been a four door from the begining. I don't buy this vid, I mean it is good looking, but I highly doubt this is a mopar designed car. Another complaint I have w/ this (and the new Challenger), is that it/they are almost identical to the original design from the 70's, no where for them to really take this car if it makes it to another generation, just my thoughts.

Re: Charger Concept for 2010

simply love the rendition. it looks way better than the current one.

"why this charger is a two door?"

Actually, it is a result of "retroing" a retro-futuristic design - it is a "back from the future" Honda NSX with a 70s-like front end and ricey rear end. Hidden headlamps are one feature that should NOT make a comeback.

I like the Charger as a four-door. For what it is, it is much better than the 300C, and the name suits it much better than "Monaco" or "Polara" would to a present-day consumer. I am not a muscle car fan, so the 60s-70s Charger is just a distant tick in my consciousness, but the LX Charger certainly does look like a vehicle I would imagine wearing that name.

Re: Charger Concept for 2010

Front are rear are promising, the side needs to be dramatically simplified. I agree, Bravada, that the design theme is something like back-from-the-future; it's futuristic but also classic.
