Or you are confusing the 3.5 and the 2.7. That 300 photo is a little underwhelming. Perhaps some Chrysler photos will help.

Re: 2011 Chrysler 300C
so i guess if a car is a hit with a certain crowd you should kill it? dumb. a hits a hit. you think Toyota is ever gonna ditch the Camry because it gave them a rep as a boring brand? NO! Was GM aiming at rappers when the first escalade came out. I doubt it. do you think Chrysler was going for rappers with the 300. no.it just appealed to them (as well as middle America). so you adapt and eveolve the car to cater to that market's need.

Re: 2011 Chrysler 300C
CAW leaders got a sneak peek of the new 300 that will be introduced next year as a 2011 model. The all-new sedan has undergone additional changes since Marchionne's team took over.
Lewenza was not at liberty to elaborate, but a source said the car is lower and sleeker with a new grille and LED headlights. |

I believe the new gen/redesign 3.5 appeared in 99 in the M and LHS. I also had a 1st gen 3.5 which also was quite driveable and had decent torque, not as much as the new 3.5 but OK. I owned a 2.7 for about 12,000 miles, other than the typical pre-vvt small-ohc problem of no pull until 3500-4000, it was fine. I even got 30 MPG on my last tank, when I traded it in on a VW TDi. AND the 3.3 was also a good mill. Probably the best and longest-lived of all, from what I read at LH sites. We owned three of those. The 4.0 6-speed Pacifica drivetrain should be the mill of choice in this car. Otherwise maybe Chrysler will borrow the 3.8 Mitsu/5-speed, that would work too. ![]()

Re: 2011 Chrysler 300C
The Chrysler 300 HEMI C does have a distinct retro look; It wouldn't look out of place in an old Warner Brothers gangster movie from the 30's.. I could imagine Humphrey Bogart or Edward G. Robinson wheeling around in one of these.
