Re: 2011 Chrysler 300C

Please make it look like the 200C concept. That car was beautiful.

I think they're going to make the production 200C look like the concept 200C, so there's no need for the 300C too look like that.

+1, with the upcoming V6 Pentastar, it'll help efficiency. Too bad then the diesel version wasn't offered in North America. I heard once some rumors then Fiat prepare a new diesel family, maybe a V6, for Alfa-Romeo, maybe it could be under the hood of the 300C as well?

Re: 2011 Chrysler 300C

The new Chrysler DOHC V6's will start showing up soon I belive. Gone are the 4000 year old 2.7/3.5 lumps....
The 200C should be the 300. Make a 200C type version of the car. 200C type car will blow away a lot of people, design wise.

that's correct the new V6 will make it's production debut in the new GC then expect the "pentastar V6" to expand to other models in the next few years (the new Durango 300/charger etc)

This looks so much better than the current one. This current one desperately needs a good refresh.

The 3.5 is far from a lump, and is barely 10 years old.

Re: 2011 Chrysler 300C

The 3.5? Thing has been around since at least 99. It was the flagship engine of the LH cars!! The 2.7/3.5 are at least a decade old.

As I understand it the 3.2L was the new uplevel engine in the Concorde/Intrepid with the 1998 redesign (2.7L base) with the 3.5 from the first-gen LH becoming a re-worked higher output version available beginning with the '99 300M/LHS. It wasn't available on the Intrepid until the 2000 R/T and the Concorde until the LHS became the Concorde Limited in 2002. So in the forms we have it in now it's about 10 years old though it dates to before then (kind of like Series I/II/III 3800s).

Write-up about it: http://www.allpar.com/mopar/33.html

Well, then my 99 ES had the 3.2...... i'll have to see if the sticker is still in our car file. You are probably right. All i knew at the time was that the 2.7 stunk.
