2009 Chrysler 300 spy shot?

Guess what I caught going down I-75 this morning on my way to Costco?

I believe this is the next 300, I've never seen any spy shots of the car. I wish I had pulled out my iPhone quicker, but I had to chase it down I75 and traffic was unusually heavy (makes me sad that I'm trading the sporty LS for the less sporty MKX on Monday). This was the best I could do. It was heavily camoflaged but it looks much more mainstream than the 300. It has VERY flush side glass, one of the things that realy stood out (the windows are also much bigger reletive to the high cowl of the old 300. It also has LED tail lights, but I couldn't really make out much of the car detail through the camoflage. It's definitely all new!

It really doesn't look like a 300, but more like a Mercedes. I was only convinced it was Chrysler because it was coming out of the Chrysler headquarters when it passed me at the University I75 on-ramp.

I have to agree it looks more like a Mercedes

The other indication it wasn't a Mercedes were the bling-a-rific 20" chrome rims . Nothing says Detroit more than chrome wheels.

didn't they just update the 300 for this MY? I could be wrong.. it looks smaller and more round, huge departure from the current.

I would be really surprised if this was the 300. It just looks waaaayyyy different than the 300. I am sure somebody else on here will be able to give us an answer.

The roof looks like it was changed, I don't think the refresh was this extensive.

send it to brenda .. it is big enough for her.

She should also have a better sense of what it is.

If this is the next 300, color me surprised.

This was not the size of a Sebring, it was about the size of a Taurus or MKS. It actually looks bigger than a 300.

I e-mailed Brenda Priddy and Company, I'll let you know if I hear anything.

Turning Right on Baldwin.. Nothing down there but houses and small back roads. Although he could have been heading to Old Navy or down Brown Rd. You should have followed him to see where he went. He might have been shopping and you could have gotten a pic of it while it was parked.

you can make your way back to Chrysler HQ and to M-59 from that location. I see Chrysler's camo cars ALL the time when I am on there. Saw the challenger (4 of them) and 4 rams

I regret not following it, but I went right on Brown Rd and the mystery vehicle went in the left lane, probably heading for the shopping center on Baldwin.

I am very convinced this is a 300-like vehicle, if not the 300. I would even think it's an uber 300, like the theoretical "Imperial". In any case, this is the first time I've seen the vehicle and I'm fairly certain there are no other spy shots out there.

Re: 2009 Chrysler 300 spy shot?

People are overrating the size of those windows based on the shots. It is perfectly logical that one of the 300's flaws (bin cabin), would be addressed in a later iteration. I believe the camouflage hides the true size and shape of the taillights--and that you can imagine the 300's signature taillights behind there.

This looks great fom this angle.

It's a very handsome car, more conventional in terms of its profile, but it stood out as a premium vehicle based soley on the greenhouse. The glass terminates in a chrome strip, very tidy looking frame (echoes the S-Class). The front-end is squarish, but it was very well camoflaged so I couldn't make out anything and I spent more time looking at its rear and side than anything else. The profile suggests 300, long wheelbase, short overhangs.

I did drive right next to it, but that fraking Sable kept changing lanes on me and blocking my camera. She was in the right, then went left and got in my way. I was driving a little aggresively

Well, it made autoblog, and I agree with thinking it may be something more than a 300 replacement, looks bigger, much bigger.
