Interesting engine for a 34 Ford. Has Ford released a dyno chart for the 3.5L EB 400hp/400tq? I'd like to see where all the torque is.

this is anecdotal, but it will be LOW. The FWD transverse 3.5lEB was purposefully detuned, to save the transmission, AWD system and the D4 chassis.

The RWD is where the 3.5lEB will show its true colors. I would not count of the 400 figure to be final

To have a modern, unleaded fuel, repairable with parts on the shelf, hot rod would be cool.

Kit cars FTW.

So how long before this is in a Mustang and at what MPG?

I'm waiting for some deep pocket tuner company to put one in a Mustang. Should be very impressive.

EB Mustang has been delayed, partly because the Mustang is getting three new engines for MY2011. The EB Mustang will therefore be delayed, so it can make a big splash when it debuts, and not get drowned out in the hooplah over the 5 liter.

It will be a FUN car when debuted. As of now, it will likely carry the Shelby GT350 name, and be paired with a 6-speed manual and/or DCT, an IRS, and a quite lusty 425hp motor. Performance is astonishing, from what I've heard, due to the near perfect weight balance and mesa-flat torque curve.

A MY or two later, it'll be available outside the $$$ Shelby package.

That would be great but they never sound like an 8.....

A Vette wouldn't be a Vette without the 8 Cyl. sound of power.

A 6 in a Mustang is no big deal as you could always get a Mustang without the 8.

It wouldn't have to sound like a V8. If it made a substantial amount of horsepower and the performance numbers were good it wouldn't even matter. More V6 Mustangs are sold than V8 Mustangs so I don't see your logic.

Wasn't the Lincoln MKR Concept the first RWD application of the 3.5EB (then called the TwinForce)?
...or was that just a mock-up using a standard NA V6?

What's so pathetic about it???

Most concept cars don't even run, let alone have an engine in them.
