    Ford F-150 Raptor

I heard word a while back that Ford is planning on coming out with the Ford f-150 Raptor (im pretty sure its called the Raptor). But recently, I havent heard anything about it. Are they still planning on launching it because it looks sweet. Or did thet opt to not launch it right now because of the economy?

Ya I also noticed that is clearly says 500 HP 6.2 will be availible, It would make sense as SVT vehicles always have an upgraded version of the motor they are using and maybe the regular 6.2 will be in the 400's? I am very surprised by just how low the Raptor is priced.

    Yup, must be a typo...

According to the Ford website, it says the optional 6.2 liter SOHC V8 engine of the Raptor will have approximately 400hp and 400lb-ft of torque.

5.4L's should start scheduling soon. We just requested our July Production and it listed Raptor start up as 2.3% of total F-150.

No, the DORA on the one I've got ordered doesn't say (which is normal), so until I see a VIN number I won't know which plant will be building them (I assume it will be one plant, not both). I don't have a good guess on which it will be either. My first instinct is Dearborn since they build more of the "special" units already (and they were kept running the weeks that KC was idled). I also lean toward Dearborn since remote start isn't listed as an option (Remote start requires KC build). However, based on Mustang's use of the mod center, I think about KC for the stripe application, so I don't have a good guess.

who knows I haven't seen much of anything at MPG myself (the place has been pretty much dead as of late when it comes to new test car sightings) However I'm not expecting the Raptor to be a big seller it will probably bring in the amount of sales that are typical for a Niche model. What i'm personally waiting for is the new explorer to go into full prototype stage I have not seen any as of yet on my prior travels but my best guess is that the explorer should be in full prototype form by mid summer
