2008 Ford Focus Facelift
According to Autoexpress this is how the facelifted Focus will look like when it's presented later on the year. While we'll validate the fact that Ford will unveil a revised version of the Focus at the Frankfurt Show ?not possibly as Autoexpress notes but definitely as our Ford source told us, we seriously doubt that the car is set for such a dramatic mid-life makeover

Re: 2008 Ford Focus Facelift
Fomoconews won't load for me, but those are the chops I've found on Autoexpress' site:
![]() ![]() Autoexpress' chops are usually quite off, but it is widely expected for the Focus to borrow a lot from the Mondeo - after all, they are closely related and the Focus is wide enough to be considered "a shorter Mondeo" (or the other way enough, the Mondeo looks like a longer and more bulbous Focus). Where the Focus needs help the most is the totally uninspired interior, especially if you compare it to the great unique interior of the original car: ![]() Hopelessly boring, in view of the ever-more-inventive competition. But, given that the related Mondeo, S-Max and Galaxy have a lot to teach the Focus here, and that there is a chance some of their stuff could be transplanted directly into the Focus, there is hope Ford can make its compact even more appealing! |

Re: 2008 Ford Focus Facelift
The Fomoconews link Focus is great except that the rear bumper is far too big and tall. The Autoexpress link Focus is just about perfect.

Re: 2008 Ford Focus Facelift
And yet Ford, in their infinite wisdom, doesn't think Americans want a compact car like that. Somehow they believe that we would prefer the US-spec focus.

Re: 2008 Ford Focus Facelift
Ford! Get the hint! The US Focus sucks! Why not give us the Euro spec one?
Ford has been told this by many people that we need to have the Euro spec Focus here, and why we don't, is beyond me. Look what happened to Saturn when GM brought some of its European cars here?? Hello, Ford! Think! McFly! Think!

Re: 2008 Ford Focus Facelift
The American ford Focus sucks. I do not understand why GM and Ford cannot make good corollas or civics?

Re: 2008 Ford Focus Facelift
If the image Bravada showed is what it would look like, I would have the Civic sold in a second and in line for it.
Unfortunately, the new 2008 Ford Focus is nothing short of a miscarriage or abortion, than a facelift or update. It could be one of the ugliest cars I've ever seen. I'll withhold brutal judgement until I see it, but my hopes aren't that high.
