    Road Noise

I love my 2012 Chevrolet Equinox but the road noise drives me nuts when I am on fresh graveled roads or rough pavement. What can I do to quiten it?

    Drive only on freshly-laid asphalt.

You can undercoat it, but that may void the rust-through warranty.

Rust through warranty isn't worth the paper it's printed on.

    I agree...avoid gravelled roads?

    Go slower when you do?

Glad to hear you enjoy your Equinox from all other prespectives...

Gravelled or rough roads by their very nature..........

I did put a product called block it in my vette..it lays down in the trunk area in about 2 seconds and behind my seats...It cut down on the sound harmonics of the hatchback in my vette..

Probably weighs a couple of pounds but can be removed in seconds ...

10 decibel reduction I believe stated from the manufacturer..

It helped long drives become more enjoyable for not a lot of money or effort..

Not sure if it would help you...but worth a shot.

There is a cure for this.

It's called the pre-purchase test drive.
