Problem with 02 Chevy Silverado 2500HD 6.0L V8

The engine in this truck is the 6.0L V8 400 Automatic. Its an 02 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD. I just got this truck this past weekend and the guy I baught it from is the oringal owner. It now has 70k miles on it. He told me he did a few mods to the engine such as new performance heads, and new BBK Headers. Also, the engine is tuned to run on 93 Octane(Premium). He told me it has a chip in it but other than that, I do not know what kind. Also I do not have the handheld device for the chip. But this engine has been tuned and sounds very good. He has an AEM Brute Force Cold Air Intake on it as well

However, I noticed when im at a complete stop, and I hit the gas to the floor, the engine just seems to bog out and almost stall out. However if i just slightly tap at first then accelerate faster, its fine and takes off like a bullet.

Any ideas why it bogs out or has a "delay" when even trying to peel tire?

Hello. First off, welcome to the forums. Second, as to your problem, here is a link from another site. The guy has the same engine and same problem. Don't bother going to pg. 2. Take a look. One guy (B&B) gave a few possibilities to help the guy.

edit: forgot the link. http://www.plowsite.com/showthread.php?t=61785
