    Oil Useage 2.2 ECOTEC

My 05 Sunfire has started to use a bit of oil [ a quart between changes]. Car has 160,000 miles on it . I never see blue smoke on takeoff or startup , Is this normal ? In the past it has never burned oil.

How many miles are we talking about here? 160K is a lot of miles. I don't think there is an issue, but you might need some valve seals soon if there is no leak.

GM officially says oil consumption is not excessive (as in they won't do warranty work) unless it's at least a quart every 1k miles...so technically you're fine

At 160K, I would be glad the engine is still running.
