    Lightbulb Monte Carlo Engine upgrades

I have a 2005 Monte carlo ls. I've been looking for some engine mods for it like a cold air intake and a dual exhaust kit..etc.
my point is many of the aftermarket parts are for the ss.
so, what mods should i stay away from because of different engine types?

get any compatable part you want. Call up SLP they have a slew of performance parts, they will be able to tell you what parts match your car & engine type. My friend had a 99 Monte Carlo Z34 w/3.8 V6 (last year for that style I think) and he got a bunch of stuff from SLP. Cold Air Intake, peformance chip, throttle body, and dual exhaust kit. It made a HUGE difference in performance, just from those 4 mods. he got various other exterior parts also. they arent cheap, but no more expensive than anyone else.

Go to a local exhaust shop. I don't think a performance exhaust system would cost half of $1k

I'd think catback duals could be had for $200 - $300. I know a great exhaust guy in town, I'll check just for ducks.
