I 'm trying to find out how to reset climate controls the air is coming out of defrost vents only I read that if you pull fuses it will reset that didn't work any help would be appreciated thank you
If you disconnect the car's battery (negative cable) for several minutes, then reconnect it - the system will go through a self-calibration. If the air still only discharges from the defroster vents, there is a problem with the HVAC distribution system (probably the mode select actuator). Good luck.
I just put in a new battery in my 2005 Chevy pickup. When I drove it to work today, I put the fan on and it blew very hot air, it was 65 degrees out. I put the ac on and it still blew very hot air. When I left work it still blew very hot air, by now it was 88 degrees, again I put the ac on and it still blew very hot air. After work I had some errands too run, after the first two stops it still blew hot air, it wasn't until the third stop that it started too blow air normally and I had ac. So I would do what 1999 White C5 Coupe suggests, it just might not work the first time. Hopefully the next time I drive the truck, it will work correctly. Hope this helps!
