Angry Heated Seat Problem

Ok so i bought heated seats for my 03 Monte SS, because the car came wired for them. I get them put in plugged in. Turn them on and waaala they work. next day turn them on and NOTHING.... (all fuses and relays are good btw) Heres what i found..if i unplug both seats from underneat the HI or LO light up orange. If i say plug in the passenger seat. the passenger side HI or LO dont light up orange, vice versa. If there both plugged in it dont light up at all. But the power seat it self still works on both...Any suggestions b4 i take her to the dealer. Im guessing a short somewhere or GM could of wired car wrong??

Re: Heated Seat Problem

are they a aftermarket item, or are they something that you bought from a GM dealer and had installed professionally.

They are OEM seats out of a 2004 Monte Carlo, i put them in my self.. Just took out the old ones, bolted down the new ones plugged them in and plugged the to plugs in the center console in to the heated seat switch..they worked the first time perfectly, heated up nicely...the 2nd time nothing!!

Re: Heated Seat Problem

heated seat module malfunction?

i dont know if the bcm in those have to be programmed to accomodate additional features or not, so that may be a issue as well. things get weird once you start adding things that werent on the original build of the vehicle.

I never thought of that...GM could of disabled it since they didnt put the seats in originally... I'll check with the dealer on that one....Thanks for the handy tip!!
