Did they pay the GM fee to make it Dexos compliant?

LOL, R2-D2! I had heard of this oil before when Two Guys Garage featured it on their show. Here's the link to the manufacturer's site: http://www.getg.com/engineOil.php

It's a biodegradable motor oil in 5W30 (and in a racing version) that is made from beef fat and is processed similar to that of synthetic oil. Thus, it is called biosynthetic oil. The NASCAR #14 car is supposedly running this oil and LeMans has signed a 2 year contract with the G-Oil manufacturer. The LeMans cars are not running this oil, but they claim it's being used in their service vehicles. I've read about 50 comments from those who have switched over to using G-Oil and they have commented well on the oil.

The manufacturer claims it's compatible with other manufacturers' oils.

G-Oil is NOT dexos approved, at least not now. It's been out for a while, as I don't think any NASCAR team or Lemans team is currently running it in any vehicle.

It's about the price of any synthetic oil.

LOL, sure is BigAl! I've been searching for comments from users and so far, I'm guessing about 98% indicate they like the oil; burns cleaner, a little better mileage, it can be run for the same length of time as a petroleum-based synthetic, and the fact it's biodegradable. Some of these comments were on Amazon from those who have ordered it through Amazon. I'd really like to see an engine that's run it for several thousand miles.

I would not mind a recycled synthetic oil, at a much lower cost of course.

    Re: G-Oil

I wonder if P.E.T.A. would weigh in on this new synthetic oil, being that it comes from cow. Trying to please the environmentalists with a biodegradable oil might offend the animal nuts.
