    Door Adjust Expert?

    2005 Silverado 1500 Ext. Cab...

passenger door works great, driver's door hard to close, "springs open".

    dealer says normal.

I have tried to move the driver's door "strikeplate" and the bottom strike for the rear "access door". Is this all the adjustment? What holds the "access door" "square" in its' hole? It looks like the "access door" might have sagged a little.

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks,

Truck has factory welded type hinges w/minium adjustment wish I could adjust doors. I offered to pay for repair. Quote dealer "nothing wrong"

What determines "normal" or rather "sub-normal" and warranting a repair?

    Same w/noisy A/C?

Do GM or Chevrolet standards make allowances for poor fits, poor performance? This is a $36,000 plus list price pick-up.

Would love to hear other "normal stories" Anyone able to get their "normal" issue resolved?

It is kinda hard to determine what is normal over the internet. You should of checked some other trucks at the dealer to see if they do the same thing. Why would you try and adjust the door yourself on a brand new truck?
