Car Alarm on Pontiac G6

Randomly(about 1/10 times) when I open up my driver's side(or sometimes passenger when people are with me) my car alarm goes off. Sometimes it does the short "chirps", other times it's the full out alarm. I don't know what could cause this. I bought this car used and it had been in an accident. Also, the previous owner lost the remote lock/unlock, so he had his friend program one. Perhaps this could be the cause? I was there when he did it. I saw him take out some wires from underneath the passenger seat, use something to program the remote, and then put all the wires back.

Also, my car came with a factory remote start installed. As previously noted, there was no remotes that came with this car when I bought it used. My dad went up to a local dealer to get a remote. For some reason, it didn't work when my dad tried to remote start the car. The dealer said "the wiring was messed up." Basically, after trying to program it, the dealer's remote locked and unlocked the doors, but the remote start never worked. I don't know if this has any relevance.

Are you using the fob to lock and unlock the car? Also the cars with the factory remote start have an option in the personalization menu to turn the remote start feature off. May wanna check that out.
