C1500 ecm

I have a '92 C1500 60K Suddenly starting Pinging. Will not take gas over an idle without pinging severly. Have checked every censor I can find. Could it be the ECM and is there a way to check it?

Re: C1500 ecm

how did you check every sensor?unless you have extensive electrical skills most sensors arent easily checked,it sounds like it is running lean to me,Id ck fuel pressure and fuel quality.you may have purchased a tank of e 85 by mistake.it runs a whole lot leaner than gasoline and will ruin your fuel system if indeed this is what happened.

Re: C1500 ecm

It started in the middle of a tank of fuel. But it could be the pump. We don't have E85 here. But will check pressure on pump.
