Basic rules & guidelines for the Tech Forum

Here are some basic rules & guidelines for posting & responding in the Tech Forum:

1. If you are asking for technical advice, please be very complete in providing information to us; post year, make, model, engine & transmission if relevant. Explain fully all of the symptoms!

2. No flaming here please. If you have issue with your vehicle, please explain calmly what the trouble is.

3. If you are offering advice, please reply only if it is relevant to the topic and constructive in solving the thread starter's problem. Comments like "your car is a POS" and all other non-related posts will be deleted!

4. The staff and posters here on GMI are offering their best advice based on personal experiences and training, therefore we do not guarantee our diagnosis or suggestions. As with many cases of vehicular trouble, in person diagnosis is needed.
