98 Chevy Express Van Fuel Pump

Any advice on replacing a fuel pump. I am not sure if I should do it myself or pay someone else to do it.

Re: 98 Chevy Express Van Fuel Pump

Well, the tank must be dropped and if the tank is more than 1/3 full, the gas tank could be a little heavy and awkward. Labor shouldn't be too bad on the van, however the parts prices on the fuel pump modules are quite a bit high, as with any OBD-II fuel pump assy.

Besides what GMC say, every time you drop the tank on a full size van, you need to replace the screws that support it. So, if you gonna do it by yourself, first buy this parts, cause they are useless one time you retire they.
