    98 ASTRO Van...

New to GMI and need some help:

I have a 98 Astro... The driver-side window motor has died an untimely death! I need to know how to remove the door-panel so I can replace the motor.

Your assistance is much appreciated... parhelia, out

PS:My parhelia is the scientific name for a sun-dog, not a computer chip!!!

parhelia... I know this will not help but seriously give some thought to paying for this repair at Service Center rather than attempting it yourself... a few years ago I tried to fix passenger side window motor on '95 Astro LT and window motor dropped out after panel was removed... it does not easily remount and home repair effort ultimately cost me more than dealer would have charged.... sorry! Good Luck!
I had a sig but someone stole it!

three screws hold the armrest and the rest of the panel pops off. In our 97 Safari the power window died as well, tried to take it apart but couldn't pop the darn side panel off...lol. Will try again at some point.

Thanks to both of you... Think I am going in the right direction, because I have decided to have it done.

    Again, thanks, parhelia

Good and you're welcome. The power window motors aren't cheap though if you get it from the dealer. . Just a heads up.
