While searching for a used ride, I have come across a ride or two powered by sixes and upon doing some homework, my eyes were opened to the problems with the Series II 3800 and it's plastic intake manifold.
First question here.....is the intake in the 3.4L 'L32' plastic as well? The car this engine powers is a 1994. Second question......in what model year did GM finally start using better intakes?? I'm guessing they didn't wise up until the Series III was introduced.... ![]() Last question.....assuming I buy a car powered by a Series II, how much would it cost to replace the affected part(s) and perform the associated work (flushing the coolant etc.)??
