    2006 GMC front end loose/rattle?

I found a thread for this forum off google regarding a front end clunk/rattle that you can also feel in the steering wheel while driving. Apparently this is a very common problem with a repair bulletin that states to add a washer somewhere.
Sorry if this has been beat dead on this forum.. I couldn't find a search function anywhere.
Thanks for any advice or links to more info.

Intermediate steering shaft. Replace it with new design.

thanks.. I did more research and found that. I also read that if you have under 60,000 miles the dealer will preform the TSP for free. any truth to that.

I called two dealerships and they won't fix it since I'm over my warrenty by a year. The dealer that origanally looked at it is out of business.
where can I find the newer replacement shaft at? I don't want to replace it with the same unit and continue to have problems.
    thanks, BB

The old shaft shouldn't be available anymore. One of the parts guys here can give you the correct #. They were replacing them under goodwill at no charge up to two years out of warranty here. But things change everyday.

Not all Dealerships are the same. At 13k miles it should be a no brainer for any dealer to replace it for you but, some won't.

    Replace the I-Shaft with P/N 19153614 - About $92.00
