Question '08 Silverado oil plug location

Where is the location of the oil plug on the 2008 Silverado? I prefer changing my own oil but this is the first time changing it on my '08 pickup and I can't figure out how to drain the oil. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Looking up with engine facing the front then you will see it on the passenger side of the oil pan, you'll need a 13mm wrench. Be carefull as the oil will hit the corner of your drain pan and splatter all over the passenger tire and even on you if you are on the ground.

Passenger side rear (sump of oil pan).
The SS badge never was about looks, it's about performance and always should be.

Just changed my oil for the first time on my new '08 Chevy Silverado 1/2 ton. Actually you need a 15mm wrench NOT a 13mm. But he's mostly right about the splatter; but it does not reach the passenger tire.

Not to mention on some 4x4 models the skid plate is in the way!
So you can't see the bolt either!
