07 Malibu steering problem

07 Malibu LS V6, when returning steering wheel to neutral position after turning left, there is a clunking noise.
Any ideas?

Re: 07 Malibu steering problem

Something loose in the front... do you feel a jump in the wheel or just audible? I suggest turning the wheel hard to one side and sticking your head in the fender to see if something is "popping out" like a stabilizer bar
