Well, I am finally a GM Owner.
And here it is...
A 2005 VZ 190kW 5 speed auto Calais. Full Leather and Power everything. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I got up at sparrows fart today to take it for a drive over Mt Mee. The Active shift on the auto worked a well as I expected. I just wish the bloody Bikers would hustle through the turns a bit quicker. ![]() ![]()

Re: Well, I am finally a GM Owner.
Queensland's the "Smart State" ? Did they know mikmak lived there before issuing the slogan?
Sharp car though! Love those wheels. What's the "P" for? Do they put those on cars there if you have a provisional license? |

Re: Well, I am finally a GM Owner.
Why is the steering wheel on the wrong side?

I have always liked this design aswell, but many didn't, so they were left behind in the VZ-VE change. ![]() Yup, they indicate provisional license. I have to carry a red 'P' for about 1 more month, than it changes to a green 'P' for another 18.

She's a beaut! Love the P-plates. You should tell all us yanks that the P stands for professional and that they're issued to driving pros.

Re: Well, I am finally a GM Owner.
$20000 with no trade-in. Current Redbook value is $22000-24000.
It had 62000 on the clock when I picked it up. All the leather is in good nick and there is only a few scratches on the drivers door handle. The whole car looks well maintained. I have already used it in stop-start traffic, and on a 200 km blast over the Glasshouse mountains. So far it has yet to miss-a beat. Now I just need to find all the good driving roads in the area.... ![]()

![]() Congrats on buying one of my fave cars Fish. If you are looking for great roads, head down the western side of Ivanhoe and come back in through Samford. Beware the Rozzers though. They seem to like hanging out around Mt pleasant. Just ask my mate The Hire, who's had a friendly chat with them after taking his 2006 STI for a blast (his offsider in the Evo VIII or IX managed to dodge them though ). That is a very tidy vehicle.
