New Pictures; Tempo and Silverado

Been really busy lately, so I've had no time for GMI. Packing and cleaning, then driving (13 days on the road) and then unpacking and getting settled. But now I'm in Alaska again! And with this move comes new cars. I picked up my older car, the 1989 Ford Tempo Sedan, on the 26th of September. Here are some pictures (after cleaning, washing and a good wax) of it.

I also picked up the new truck that my family inherited from my late grand father. Its a victory red 2002 Chevrolet Silverado LS 4x4. Good engine (5.3L V8), piece of crap transmission (four speed automatic). Automatic transmissions just really shouldn't be put in trucks. The Silverado is the family hauler and work truck until we can get the cash to lease a new car (probably a Honda Odyssey or Saturn Outlook). The Silverado is a pretty nice truck, but I prefered my dad's F-150.

I have a silly question: why are you going to Alaska for the Winter? shouldn't it be the other way around. I know CT is no picnic in Winter either but...

Not going to, moving to. We've planned this move for a while. Besides, the winters in Alaska are great. So much to do, and its so beautiful.

AWD Tempo must be a collector's item, of sorts

Sort of. They are rare, but a rare Tempo is pretty much not important outside of the enthusiast community (which is, by the way, fairly big). I've only ever see two other All Wheel Drive Tempo's besides mine.
