Well the car is mainly for her. We traded up from a 2005 Saturn VUE 4 AWD CVT (Wow what a mouthful). Anyway, the acceleration from this car is unbelievable. I was really impressed, off the line it reminds me of the Grand Prix GXP that I drove a while back. The steering is heavy, but solid and not under assisted at all. On center feel is a tick numb, but it is still an excellent handling car. The ride is firm, but not harsh. The interior is amazing, seats are firm and comfortable, and I LOVE the tapshift feature (I also love the fact that it downshifts for you automatically at stop signs). The tranny does seem to hesitate quite a bit, but from what I have learned, this is something that goes away once the tranny software adapts to the driver.

Some negatives: I do wish that it had a "Driver 1" "Driver 2" option that my Aurora has, and I do wish the trunk opening were a bit larger, but these are absurdly tiny complaints really.

I will keep you informed as the days go by.

Sounds great! I am glad you like the car as much as you do. Memory feature I do agree is something fun to have, but not necessarily a must have feature.

Mind if I ask what you mean by " On center feel is a tick numb"?

Awesome car, great color choice. Is this the 2.4L I-4 or 3.6L V6?

Well if you're driving in a straight line, you don't get a whole lot of feel from the tires for some reason. In the twisties (I guess where it's most important) you get a lot though.

I have the memory feature in the Aurora and with two drivers it comes in mighty handy. Sure it's not a must-have, but neither is an automatic tranny or a.c. for that matter huh.

Well, the new car smell is great...haha. Nah, it's gotta be the acceleration, this thing is F.A.S.T! The interior is really a great place to be though. Just got back from some late night shopping and those gauges absolutely glow at night.

Re: New Baby!

That Malibu is sweet!

From every angle it is pleasing to the eye, and I'm sure that the V6 is good for the soul.

It's funny when the shots of the Malibu were first released by GM I absolutely hated the rear end, but it has grown on me a lot since it's intro. Especially with the LED rears.
